Amphitheater sponsorships sold-out as series II sales begin

Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater will announce the lineup for Summer Concert Series II Friday, May 18.

The second half will begin July 27 and 28. The schedule will be posted at 10 a.m. Friday morning on the amphitheater's Web site at HtmlResAnchor www.amphitheater.org.

Current series ticket holders will have the first opportunity to renew tickets beginning Monday, May 21 at 9 a.m. Season tickets holders will receive a renewal form in the mail. They may order tickets by phone, 770-631-0630, by mail or at the amphitheater office, 191 McIntosh Trail in Peachtree City, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Deadline for ticket renewals will be Friday, June 1 at 5 p.m.

Tickets for Summer Concert Series II will go on sale to the public Tuesday, June 19 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be $100 for the five-concert package. Tickets may be purchased in person, by phone, by mail or fax. There is a $3 handling fee per order.

Tickets are still available for Paul Anka June 1 and 2, and The Original Drifters June 16.

Amphitheater officials also announced that with the signing of Valentino's Restaurant, the amphitheater has sold out all of its sponsorship levels.

At 460 Crosstown Drive in Peachtree City, Valentino's has a selection of cuisine specialties and offers daily lunch specials. Valentino's also specializes in specialty picnic baskets, suitable for an evening at the amphitheater, ranging in price from $4.95 for a basket for two up to $30 for six people.

"We are excited to be involved with the amphitheater. This is a great opportunity for us. We hope patrons will join us before (or after) the concerts for great Italian food and I know our amphitheater baskets will be a wonderful addition to the amphitheater's casual and fun atmosphere," said Karen Steibler, co-owner of Valentino's with her husband, Bob.

Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater's signature sponsor is the law firm Webb, Lindsey, Collins, Jones and Wade. Diamond sponsors are Merrill Lynch of Peachtree City and The Atlanta Coca Cola Bottling Company.

Gold sponsors are Valentino's Restaurant, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lawson Mardon Packaging, Mix 98.1, Talbot State Bank, Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, Yamaha and Peachtree Golf Cars, Group VI Corporation, Dr. Steven Wanderman's Peach State Orthopedics, Cooper Lighting, Panasonic and The Avenue Peachtree City.

Silver sponsors are Arnie's Fine Wine, Liquor and Beer, ERA Preferred Realty Inc., Gilbert Southern Corporation, Kwik Kopy Printing, Mucklow's Fine Jewelry, SMC3, Peachtree Florist Inc., Execusoft Controls, Sprint PCS, TCIS (The Complete Insurance Source), Kroger Grocery Stores, Centex Homes/CTX Mortgage and the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

What happens now with the sponsorship program? A process all too familiar with longtime patrons of the Summer Concert Series ­ a waiting list will be established for businesses and corporations interested in sponsoring the 2002 series.
