A bountiful breakfast By F.C. FOODIE For many people on the run, breakfast consists of a cup of coffee and a power bar on the way to work. But experts say it's the most important meal of the day and we need to have a hearty breakfast to deal with the stresses of everday life. If you've got a little more time, there are plenty of venues in the county that offer quick breakfasts for time-challenged folks. Here are some of Fayette's breakfast options: Quick taste of the South Chick-fil-A in Peachtree City and Fayetteville. The best biscuits that your mama didn't cook. A short trip through the drive-through and you can put some South in your mouth. Quick generic food - McDonald's or your favorite gas station. Both the fast food giant and several gas stations serve their versions of biscuits which will satisfy that hunger on a moment's notice. If you've got a little more time, try these places. Shadows in Peachtree City serves a killer weekend brunch and it's a nice space to while away a Sunday morning. Starbucks and the Atlanta Bread Company offer a small touch of Europe. Fresh pastries and strong coffee lead to good conversation. The Original Pancake House in Peachtree City. This is a wonderful place to linger over a freshly made omelette or a stack of steaming blueberry pancakes. Finally, there's the always popular duo of breakfast joints for many people in the county: Waffle House - a Georgia tradition for many years. Scattered, smothered and covered ... oh my! International House of Pancakes - Pancakes, omelettes and much more. With all these choices, breakfast can be a viable option for everybody.
