The Word of Life Family Church is one of nearly 1,000 churches in the United States affiliated with the Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Okla.

The Fayetteville church has grown in five years from three families to a membership of 250 worshipers.

Members are looking forward to this summer when about 25 to 30 of the church's youths will attend a camp in Tennessee and will include teens from 13 to 19 years old. They will be participating for a week in a preaching and teaching atmosphere.

The adults are eagerly looking forward to a new ministry within the church; a television studio has been created and taping of a half-hour program began this past week. They expect to be "on the air" by July 1. The format will generally be a sit-down teaching one with various church members participating.

On a regular basis, teens meet each Thursday at 7 p.m., and "Kids Zone" is available for children both Sunday at 10 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The men's group and the women's group enjoy retreats several times a year.

The pastor, the Rev. Dayne Massey, has served the church since its inception. He attended both Booth Middle School and McIntosh High School for two years, before his family moved to Selma.

"Look out for our TV program," he said, "on TV 57."

Services are each Sunday at 10 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The church is at 570 W. Lanier Ave., Ste. 101, Fayetteville, and can be reached at 770-716-0034. The e-mail address is office@wordoflifefamilychurch.com.
