Autumn Hill is Landmark's STAR

Landmark Christian School senior Autumn Hill has been named the STAR student of the senior class of 2001.

STAR is an acronym for the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition Program. The STAR student must be in the top 10 percent of the graduating class and must have earned the highest one-sitting SAT score.

Along with her academic accomplishments, Hill is an accomplished musician and actress.

Each STAR student is asked to name a STAR teacher who has inspired, encouraged and enhanced her educational career. Hill chose Joymichelle Green, Landmark's high school speech and drama instructor. She and Hill have shared countless hours engaged in their love of the arts.

Green is a native of Atlanta with a bachelor of arts degree in classical theater from Kennesaw State University. She is scheduled to finish a second bachelor degree in English secondary education next spring. She was selected for "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" for 2000.

She has taught at Landmark for four years.
