Rep. Bob Holmes to address Fayette NAACP chapter Georgia state Rep. Bob Holmes will address the Fayette NAACP during its monthly meeting Saturday, in keeping with the group's practice of inviting local officials to speak. Holmes, a Democrat representing the 53rd District (Atlanta area), also is director of the Southern Center for Studies in Public policy based at Clark Atlanta university. Goal of the SCSPP is to develop innovative strategies, policies and programs to improve the condition of poor people. He will talk about minority voter empowerment, redistricting and the process of changing from at-large voting to district voting. The meeting will be at the Flat Rock AME Church Saturday, May 12 at 4 p.m. The church is at 148 Old Chapel Road, just off Ga.
