PTC Spring Cleanup set for Sat. and Sun.

Peachtree City will hold its annual Spring Cleanup this Saturday and Sunday.

Dumpsters will be placed at the Recycling Center located on Rockaway Road off Ga. Highway 74 South, which will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days. Once all dumpsters are full, no more dumping will be allowed.

This year, the city will accept non-freon appliances such as washing machines and dryers.

Machines with freon such as refrigerators and air conditioning units will not be accepted. City residents are also asked not to deposit household garbage, tires or batteries in the dumpsters.

Baseball Chiefs to battle PTC police in charity game

The McIntosh High School varsity baseball team will face off against the Peachtree City Police Department on Wednesday, May 16 in a charity baseball game at 8 p.m.

Benefits will be used to purchase bulletproof vests for Peachtree City police officers. This is the second of three scheduled charity games involving the department.

The public is invited to attend the game. Admission is free.
