JOHN MUNFORD A Jonesboro man has been convicted of possession of methamphetamine and stuck with 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Superior Court Judge Christopher Edwards also sentenced William Paul Smith, 39, to 2 years intensive probation and 15 additional years of probation once he is paroled, said District Attorney Bill McBroom. Edwards also ordered that Smith be banished from Fayette County until the sentence is served. McBroom said Assistant District Attorney Tom Isom did a good job in prosecuting the case.
