Starr's Mill band upset over recent theft of new trailer

The Starr's Mill High School Band Booster Club is seeking the public's help in recovering a new trailer that was stolen from the school's parking lot recently.

Club co-president Jo Rogers said a small reward is being offered for information that leads to the return of the trailer.

Rogers said the white trailer cost over $4,000 and was paid for by car washes and other fundraisers the band members held.

"Obviously, we're very upset about this," Rogers said, adding that the club had not yet insured the 8x20 foot trailer. "If anyone can help us look for it, that's great."

The trailer was purchased in December and had only been used twice. The logos and decals hadn't even been put on the trailer before it was swiped from the school the weekend of April 21, she said.

To report any information about this crime, contact the Fayette County Sheriff's Department at 770-461-5266.
