Peachtree City water gets 2nd tests

Fayette engineers are awaiting the results of a second round of testing to determine the cause of bad-tasting water in Peachtree City Library and City Hall.

In the first tests, samples were taken with the Riverbend Well, which serves the area, turned off.

Now, with the well turned back on for 30 days, a second round of samples has been sent to the lab for testing, and county engineering consultant Jim Mallett said ther esults are expected this week.

Corrosion in water pipes within the buildings are the suspected cause of the problem, officials say.
