One-stop shopping for a summer job will be featured at two job fairs scheduled next week at local high schools.

At least 15 employers will attend, hunting eager young workers for such posts as sales positions at The Avenue shopping center and lifeguard positions at local pools.

The job fair will be at McIntosh High School from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and at Starr's Mill High School from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The job fair is open to all students 16-21 years old, but there will be limited employment opportunities available for 15-year-old students also.

The event is sponsored by the youth services division of the Peachtree City Recreation Department and the Peachtree City Youth Advisory Board.

Youths who aren't old enough to hold a job at a local business are invited to attend a clinic that will help them start a lawn service in their local neighborhoods. The "Mowing for Dollars" clinic will be held Tuesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 10 at the UGA Extension Service Office in the Stonewell Municipal Administrative Complex at the corner of Ga. Highways 54 and 85 in Fayetteville.

The cost of the workshop is $5 to cover materials. A minimum of eight teens is necessary to conduct the workshop.
