Murderer guilty of having drugs, weapon in jail By JOHN
MUNFORD
It didn't take long for convicted murderer Karl Bryan Hodge to get another dent in his criminal record. Hodge, who was convicted last month for murdering drug dealer Adolf Stubbs, was found guilty Monday for possession of a weapon and possession of drugs while locked up at the Fayette County Jail. The weapon, according to court records, was a sock filled with a heavy object. He was also found in possession of marijuana at the time, records said. Last month, Hodge was found guilty of murdering Stubbs after an eyewitness identified him as the triggerman who shot and killed the Jamaican native. Stubbs' body was left in a burning SUV in a new subdivision in north Fayette County in March 1999. Hodge was sentenced to one year in prison that will run concurrent with his sentence in the murder for life in prison plus 25 years. The additional conviction could help keep Hodge incarcerated longer depending on how the information is interpreted by state parole officials.
