FCT is looking for a cast for 'Annie' Fayette Community Theatre, Inc. is searching for a young, talented miss to fill the role of Annie in its upcoming production of the Broadway musical "Annie." "We know she is out there and she is the perfect youngster to fill this demanding role," said director Eileen Baldwin. "The youngster we are looking for needs to be between the ages of 8 and 12, have a strong singing voice, the ability to dance and be a good actress as well." Girls audition for the role of Annie must also be available for all rehearsals, public appearances and interviews and have no scheduling conflicts. The production also requires 12 girls between the ages of 8 and 13 and 22 adult men and women ages 14 and older. Children between the ages of 8 and 13 will audition April 23 at 5:45 p.m., while adults will audition at 8:15 p.m. Children auditioning will be required to sing 20 measures of the song "Tomorrow." Those selected for a dance audition will be asked to return April 24 at 6 p.m. Auditioning adults will be asked to sing 20 measures from a song of their choice. They may bring sheet music or a back up musical rendition tape. A dance will be taught on site to all adults, though not all roles require dancing. "Annie" is slated for production at Starr's Mill High School, June 21-24, June 28-July 1 and July 5-8.
