New online options for homeowners

Homeowners Can Now Interview Agents Online, Receive Analysis of Value of Their Property

Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty has recently introduced a new feature to its Web site, www.coldwellbanker.com, and its online Personal Retrievers service.

In addition to helping buyers search for property listings, interest rates and comparable home sale information, the organization's online service "retrieves" local sales associate profiles based upon an online browsers' requested criteria.

The system, which currently has over 190,000 national users, allows potential home sellers to screen a sales associate's credentials before meeting them in person. Currently, Coldwell Banker Bullard has most of its 260 agents taking part in Personal Retriever Seller Services.

In addition, customers will be provided a professional Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) at the time of the request and emailed local area home sales on an ongoing basis. Both items are tools to help homeowners determine the value of their property and calculate their potential return on investment.

Another feature of the Coldwell Banker Personal Retriever Seller Services program provides consumers with a preview of their home, as it will be marketed at www.coldwellbanker.com.

Personal Retriever Seller Services is an enhancement to the already successful program launched in 1998 and available on www.coldwellbanker.com.

Developed by Coldwell, Personal Retriever Seller Services places the consumer in an advantageous position to select the sales associates that best match their needs. Sellers can prescreen an agent's credentials, experience, resume and an electronic listing presentation without ever making contact with the agent. The consumer remains anonymous until deciding to contact selected sales associates.

"Personal Retriever Seller Services provides the home seller with better research and more choices when shopping for a sales associate to market their property," said Steve Bullard, owner and president of Coldwell Banker Bullard. "We are providing them with the opportunity to thoroughly review numerous resumes and marketing proposals prior to making the best selection for their specific needs.

"This service online shows the confidence that Coldwell Banker Bullard has in its network of sales associates and the company1s reputation for outstanding customer service.

"The new Coldwell Banker Personal Retriever Seller Services system allows us to demonstrate our sales associates' qualifications and credentials to potential customers on their terms. Many of our sales associates have developed expertise in different facets of real estate, and I believe this new initiative will match a seller with the right Coldwell Banker expert," noted Bullard.

Here is how it works. Each participating Coldwell Banker sales associate will be provided a personal web profile page. On that page, he or she will post their profile and resume.

Customers can search www.coldwellbanker.com by location to receive a list of sales associate profile pages within their area. They can review the profile pages and either contact a sales associate directly or request an electronic listing presentation and market evaluation via email.

Sales associates will have prepared electronic listing presentations including general facts such as their experience, awards, specialties, etc., and they will have the opportunity to customize each presentation based on the specific needs of the potential customer including a marketing plan and seller services guarantee. When complete, the presentation is emailed directly to the seller for review.

"The Coldwell Banker Personal Retriever Seller Services system is designed to make the entire home selling process easier and more convenient, which is ultimately what the customer wants," said Alex Perriello, president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation.
