Wednesday, April 11, 2001 Wieland scores with Sandy Creek athletic dept. John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods recently partnered with Sandy Creek High School's Athletic Department furnishing their spacious new fieldhouse with coaching workstations and cabinetry. Cabinetcraft, Wieland's custom cabinetry division, donated enough countertops to fill the needs of the ten assistant football coaches at Sandy Creek as well as cabinetry in the training room. The training room is specifically designed for injured athletes and the cabinets will house the medical and training supplies. According to Wieland's South Region Vice President, Ed Woodland, "The fieldhouse will be a great asset to Sandy Creek and the athletes. Schools are important to our success and we appreciated the opportunity to contribute in the community where we are building." John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods is currently building in two Tyrone locations including the Estates at South Hampton located off Farr Road and South Hampton which is just beginning construction off Highway 74. Plans for South Hampton include 292 new homes over the next few years and is expected to open for sales early this spring.
