Home Depot cashier rung up for stealing money from store An employee of the Fayetteville Home Depot has been arrested for allegedly bilking the store of more than $2,400 by making false product returns and pocketing the cash, according to police reports. Mary Jay Weakley, 38, of Decatur was arrested Wednesday by the Fayetteville Police Department for theft by taking. According to an incident report, Weakley was the subject of an internal Home Depot investigation for almost a month. During that time, she rang up false product returns at her register and took the money herself, police were told.
