Memory Walk gains momentum

Clayton and Coweta counties have named their chairpersons for the Southern Crescent Alzheimer's Memory Walk to he conducted in Peachtree City Saturday, Oct. 6. They are:

Clayton County Dr. Paul A. Colon.

Coweta County Jerald Connally and Gina Weathersby.

Previously named cochairmen for Fayette County are Frederick Brown. Jr. and lola Snow.

Fayette County has named the following committee chairpersons:

Events Denise Buchanan.

Food Geri Cowan.

Logistics Don Ethier.

Memory Walk Ralph and Brownie Jones.

Public Relations Rick and Dede Gauthier.

Registration Reba Thompson.

Team Walk Lynn Amos and Tony Armstrong.

Web site Coordinator Bob Neff.

Anyone interested in contributing time and talents in the Southern Crescent Memory Walk is asked to contact the respective county chairperson listed above.

All three counties are in the process of getting organized and setting up their committees for a successful Walk to raise money for the research, education and support to patients and families whose lives have been touched by this dreaded brain disease. If you know of anyone with Alzheimer's, you know your help is desperately needed.
