Traveling and training

Local gym member works out across the country and wins contest

His job as an a United States Army aviation inspector keeps Bob Karpiak on the go most of the year.

Traveling across the United States from Florida to Connecticut and California to North Carolina, he always takes advantage of his membership in Gold's Gyms.

"Despite being away from my family during the many inspection trips over the past year, I always make sure I take the time to work out and keep fit," he said recently. "It just so happens that Gold's had a contest in the works and I seem to have turned in the most visitation cards. Besides winning a jacket, I was able to keep my workout program on track."

Gold's Gym in Peachtree City presented the winner with his jacket for visiting as many as 27 other sister gyms.
