Next fall, Fulton County's high school students can expand their learning horizons with everything from international food to computer networking.

The Fulton County Board of Education recently approved several new pilot classes for high school students. The classes will be offered next year, but school officials will study how successful they were at the end of the 2001-2002 school year for full implementation in the following year.

New classes include:

•Two new theater classes, theater arts I and theater arts II.

• A class showing how information technology works in a global society.

• A beginning psychology class.

• An introduction class to computer networking and routing.

• A class focusing on international business and marketing.

• A Spanish for native speakers class.

• A class teaching students how to prepare for the SAT.

• An advanced placement human geography.

• A class on international food that teaches about different cuisines around the world.

• A business database applications class.
