Opening Today

Heartbreakers Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt play a mother and daughter con team in Florida. Gene Hackman, Ray Liotta, and Jason Lee also star. Rated PG-13.

Say It Isn't So This film, produced by the Farrelly brothers, deals with a man in love with a woman. Someone mistakenly tells him that she is his sister and by the time he finds out this is false, she is about to marry someone else. This looks amusing and Chris Klein, the protagonist is a very likable male lead. Rated R.

The Brothers Three affluent black men must think about their ways when a friend , a reformed palyboy, is getting married. Rated R.

Now Playing

15 Minutes Robert Deniro (You talking to me?) stars as a cop who is going after two foreign baddies that videotape murders and sell it to the news. I hope this is good because I love Robert Deniro. Rated R.

Cast Away Tom Hanks was amazing as a man stranded on a deserted island. He will win the Oscar for Best Actor and this film will captivate you. Appropriate for almost any age, though some scenes may be too intense for children, Cast Away is destined to be a classic. Rated PG-13.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon This is one of the best films of the year. It has action, romance, comedy and drama. Though it is in Mandarin with English subtitles, you will be swept away by the film and forget that you are reading. This is also up for Best Picture, as well as Best Foreign Film. Rated PG-13.

Down To Earth Chris Rock stars as a comedian who dies before his time and returns to Earth in the body of a rich, old, white man. This is a remake of Heaven Can Wait and could be quite good. Rated PG-13.

Enemy At The Gates Jude Law plays a Russian sniper who must battle a German sniper and a love triangle during World War II. Rated R.

Exit Wounds Steven Seagal returns to the world of the movie theatre with this tale of a cop battling corrupt cops in the inner city. DMX, Tom Arnold and Jill Hennesy also star. Rated R.

Get Over It This is yet another teen comedy and this one looks to be the worst one yet. The plot is about a guy dating his friend's sister and getting shot with an arrow. Yuk. One more thing, who decided Sisqo was a star? Rated PG-13.

Hannibal A superb film, both well acted and well directed. Anthony Hopkins is brilliant as the creepy Dr. Lecter and Julianne Moore is great replacing Jody Foster as Agent Starling. This has some gory parts but is still a satisfying thriller. Rated R.

O Brother Where Art Thou This film, written and directed by The Coen Brothers (Fargo) is set in the Depression Era south. It is humorous and beautifully directed but the film goes nowhere and none of the characters change. Rated PG-13.

See Spot Run David Arquette plays a goofy postal worker who accidentally adopts a former FBI dog that is in the witness protection program. Rated PG.

The Mexican Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts star in this action-comedy about a stolen gun and love on the run. Sounds like fun. Rated R.

Traffic This film, directed by Steven Soderbergh, was very well done. It has a great cast, including a stellar performance from Benicio Del Toro, and tip top direction. This movie is a sure fire conversation starter. Rated R.

Also Playing

Charlie's Angels A fun movie based on the hit television program. It is quite campy but the action is good and the sound track is great. Rated PG-13.

Family Man Nicolas Cage stars as a rich business executive, who gets to see what his life would be like if he had married his college sweetheart. I bet it would be better if he had married her. Rated PG-13.

Finding Forrester "You're the man now, dog," barks Sean Connery portraying the crusty old hermit, William Forrester. This film deals with an author befirending a young, black author and confronting his fears. I fear it looks an awful lot like "Good Will Hunting" which was directed by the same director. Rated PG-13.

Legend of Drunken Master Jackie Chan plays a fighter who fights better inebriated. Maybe he just looks for fights more when he is drunk. If you like Chan, you'll like this film. Rated R.

Meet the Parents Here is my pick for a sleeper hit of the year. This film was hysterically funny and one could really feel the embarrassment of Ben Stiller's character. It was sometimes painful to watch because the situation got worse and worse. See this film you won't be disappointed. Rated PG-13.

Miss Congeniality Sanra Bullock plays an FBI agent who goes undercover in a beauty pageant to stop a crime from happening (William Shatner singing?) Rated PG-13.

102 Dalmations Glenn Close reprises her role as Cruella DeVil in the sequel to the live action film based on the animated classic. This is one for the kids. Rated G.
