ARC honors Monarch Village

Monarch Village, the 440-acre master-planned community in Stockbridge that is being developed by Pathway Communities, has recently been honored by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) with a Development of Excellence award for its innovative development initiatives.

The ARC recognized Monarch Village for its traditional neighborhood development concept and its commitment to the environment through preserving more than 125 acres of the 440-acre community.

"It is an honor to be the only master-planned community in Atlanta's southern crescent to be selected as a Development of Excellence," says Charles Biele, Pathway Communities senior vice president and general manager in charge of development at Monarch Village. "As Monarch Village emerges as one of Atlanta's most admired master-planned communities, we look forward to incorporating even more unique development concepts."

Priced from the low $100s to over $300, Monarch Village will feature one of Atlanta's premier amenity centers. It will feature a mega-pool with slide tower and water mushroom, a tennis complex with eight lighted courts, a 16-acre lake with boating and fishing facilities and a 4,000-square-foot community clubhouse.

Monarch Village will also have a soccer field, basketball courts, a variety of neighborhood parks and tot lots and more than 20 miles of walking trails and sidewalks.

The community will have a commercial Village Square featuring a variety of shops, offices and neighborhood services. An on-site elementary school is also proposed for Monarch Village.

Every home at Monarch Village is equipped with a unique technology package, including upgraded wiring for every home, the potential for ultra-fast Internet access and an interactive community Intranet.

To visit Monarch Village, take I-75 South to exit 228. Go right on Highway 138 and turn left on Speer Road, then left on Walt Stephens Road.
