Home Power has big year in 2000

Home Power Realty, Inc., headquartered in Fayetteville at 465 N. Jeff Davis Drive, has announced that the company closed over $30 million in new and resale homes during the year 2000.

The company was founded by Cookie and Mike Roberts, who have been Fayette County residents since 1991.

Cookie Roberts, who is the broker for Home Power Realty, has been marketing new homes since 1984. During her 17-year career, she represented national builders like Pulte Homes, Beazer Homes, and Torrey Homes.

Prior to establishing Home Power Realty, she served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Torrey Homes. She is a Million Dollar Club producer and has been recognized as a leader in her field.

Mike Roberts retired from the United States Army as a 20-year career officer in 1991. He began his real estate career in 1993, first with Metro Brokers and most recently with Re/Max Excel.

He was the Top Producing Sales Agent in both offices and is an Active Life Million Dollar Club recipient.

The company's owners feel that the explosive growth of Home Power Realty has been remarkable. In January 2001, the newest office was opened in Eagle's Landing at 1231-A Eagle's Landing Parkway.

Home Power Realty has more than 50 real estate agents and is unique in that the company has three different and distinct divisions: the New Homes Division directed by Cookie Roberts, the Resale Homes Division directed by Mike Roberts, and the Training Division co-directed by both of them.

The Roberts' two sons, Albert and Andy, are agents with the company. Their daughter, Amanda Cabe, is a loan officer with Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, and her husband, Mike Cabe, is a Realtor with Home Power Realty.

Home Power Realty represents several new home builders in Metro South area. They market new homes for Peachtree Homes at The Commons at Curries Crossing in Clayton County; the Lincoln Group at Misty Meadows in Clayton County; and Meyer- Sutton Homes at Hampton Manor in Henry County.

Peachtree Homes will soon open Mitchell's Meadow in Clayton/Henry County and the Lincoln Group will soon open Cypress Trace in Clayton County. Both communities will be marketed by Home Power Realty.

Mrs. Roberts said Home Power Realty has the best part of every company she and Mike have been with and is the company they would most like to work for. The company places strong emphasis on training which is conducted twice weekly at no cost to its agents.

She added that she is dedicated to providing her agents continuous broker support. New agents receive a comprehensive business plan that ensures their success the first year in the business.
