Wednesday, March 14, 2001 Williams wins Silver Award Sonjia Williams, a builder representative for Forrest Homes, won the Silver Award in the National Sales & Marketing Council's 2000 "Rookie of the Year" competition for District 10 (Southeastern area). The award was presented at a special ceremony held recently at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. Ms. Williams, a million-dollar producer, was previously the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association's "Rookie of the Year" in 1999. The first agent to affiliate with the Forrest Homes organization when it was founded in 1998, Ms. Williams is now affiliated with Forrest Realty, the newly-formed in-house marketing arm of Forrest Homes. Previously the representative for the company in subdivisions in DeKalb and Clayton counties, she is currently the builder representative in Victoria Grove, a 59-home community in Cobb County, and at Camden Forrest, a 160-unit townhouse development in Clayton County. Ms. Williams is a resident of Lithia Springs. Forrest Homes, which has corporate offices in Alpharetta and Jonesboro, was founded in September of 1998. The company emphasizes the building of high quality, affordable homes in a neighborhood setting, utilizing only the best material and suppliers available. During 1999 and 2000, the company won top awards in the annual Professionalism Awards competition sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing Council, and it has already earned certification as a Certified Professional Home Builder. Forrest Homes is currently building homes and developing communities in Clayton, South Fulton, Cobb and DeKalb counties.
