Red Cross sets Virtual Auction Exotic getaways, nights on the town, sports memorabilia, celebrity items and more will be a click away during the Red Cross Virtual Auction March 16 - 25. To participate, visit http://redcross.msn.com. Fifty-two Red Cross chapters nationwide, including metro Atlanta's, have teamed up with Microsoft's MSN Auctions to present the ten-day event. Proceeds will go to disaster relief and other Red Cross services. More than 1,300 items will be up for bid, including 70 that were procured by the Metro Atlanta Chapter. Proceeds from the sale of those 70 items will directly benefit the Metro Atlanta Chapter. Participants can browse through numerous categories of goods and services. Among the Atlanta offerings are Delta Air Lines tickets, hotel accommodations, ballet and theater tickets, restaurant gift certifications, white water rafting, PGA Championship passes, a Tiffany and Co. ladies' watch and autographed books and memorabilia. Also on the auction block are trips to the Caribbean islands, balloon rides over the Napa Valley, a sky diving adventure in Las Vegas and tickets to the Oprah Winfrey Show.
