ARC releases results of first issues poll

In an effort to augment ongoing outreach efforts, the Atlanta Regional Commission recently released the results of the first in a series of regional issues polls to better gauge the pulse of the region's citizens.

The results reflected positively on Atlanta's quality of life, though those responding support more active, regional efforts to ensure continued and improved regional livability.

ARC will continue to poll the region on focused issues like expansion of mass transit, financing mechanisms for better growth management and water protection strategies, and will continue to explore citizen acceptance of regional priorities as a guide for local decision-making.

For complete results of ARC's regional issues poll, phone Mike Carnathan at 404-463-3101, or consult ARC's Web site at HtmlResAnchor www.atlantaregional.com/PollingPresentation.PPT .
