Deadline approaching for memorial bricks The deadline for ordering memorial bricks for the veterans' memorial in front of Peachtree City Hall is fast approaching. March 15 is the last day to order bricks from Peachtree City VFW Post 9949, to be installed before the city's Memorial Day ceremony. You can order a brick in honor of anyone who has served in the U.S. armed services. The white marble bricks will be engraved on three liens of 14 spaces each and will contain the veteran's name, rank, branch of service and dates of service. Currently 200 bricks are in place and an additional 60 are on order. There is space for 1,500. Brick applications are available at the Gathering Place, the Peachtree City Library and from VFW members. Phone 770-631-1439 for an application. A $25 donation is required.
