Council calls off Thursday meeting The Peachtree City Council meeting normally scheduled for Thursday evening has been cancelled. Councilman Dan Tennant is unable to attend because he will be out of town, so a quorum for the meeting could not be reached, said City Clerk Nancy Faulkner. The city charter requires four council members to be present to conduct business at a council meeting. The council ranks were reduced to four at the previous council meeting when Robert Brooks announced his resignation so he could pursue other interests including assisting with the development of the industrial park.
