New animal clinic open 24 hours a day

Residents in South Fulton now have an option to take their sick pets 24 hours a day.

The Union City Veterinary Medical Center and Emergency Clinic is now open at 6702 Shannon Parkway.

The center opened in December and is owned by Dr. Hannah Gulshard and Dr. Edward Mitchell. Services include full service animal care to small animals 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Other services include grooming, boarding and behavioral counseling.

The doctors have also acquired the latest in diagnostic equipment.

"It was our objective to design a facility that would offer the most current diagnostics and procedures available to a private small animal clinic. We complete the health care program by offering premium pet foods, prescription diets, pest control products and a complete medical pharmacy," said Gulshard.

Gulshard wants to provide the best animal care in the area.

"We respect and promote the closeness of the family-pet bond," said Gulshard. "By our attention, we help pets and their owners to enjoy all aspects of their life together. To this end, Dr. Mitchell and I continually strive to educate ourselves, our clients and our community."
