Road rage chase leads to assault of Riverdale woman

A Riverdale woman has claimed she was assaulted by a motorist who had chased her and an acquaintance into Fayetteville earlier this month.

Adonika T. Hill, 19, of Riverdale, told Fayetteville police that a black male in a silver colored Toyota Echo had chased her and Kathy Hollis of Riverdale at a high rate of speed on the evening of Friday, Feb. 2. The chase ended when their vehicle stopped in traffic at the intersection of East Lanier Avenue and Jeff Davis Drive.

That's when the suspect blocked them in with his vehicle, got out and proceeded to strike Hill, the incident report stated.

The motorist then left the scene, traveling north on Jeff Davis Drive.

The report did not indicate if there was a reason the suspect followed the women. They told police the vehicle began following them after it left a residence on Wellington Drive in Riverdale.
