The Fayetteville City Council is considering two more requests for licenses to sell distilled spirits. Longbranch and El Parian are on the counci's agenda for next Thursday. If they are approved, that would bring the total to five, after recent approval of Applebee's, Malone's and Coba.

City officials said Wednesday that representatives of two more Ruby Tuesday and an unnamed Mexican restaurant occupying the space formerly held by Tanner's have picked up applications but have not yet returned them to the city.

The Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission meets for its monthly workshop Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Agenda items include revised development plans for First Baptist Church, development plans and a special exception request for Fayetteville Car Wash on North Glynn Street, development plans for Crews Environmental, Inc. on First Manassas Mile Road, and development plans for Express Car Wash & Self Storage at Highway 85 North and Roberts Road.

Discussion items include a variance application from Fayette Christian School for reducing the required play area per child for a daycare at the old A&T Market on East Lanier Avenue, and additions to Fayette Middle School at Grady Avenue and Bradford Square.

Offshoot Productions' presentation of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" will close with today's 3 p.m. performance in the Royce Regeon Band Hall in Building C of the LaFayette Education Center (old Fayette County High).
