The pace
has taken its toll on Fulton County Commissioner Bill Edwards.
Edwards'
assistant, Delores Baskin, confirmed this week that Edwards was admitted
to the hospital late last week.
"He
stayed in all weekend and they released him Tuesday," she said.
Preliminary
reports from the doctors did not reveal any serious illness, and they
surmise Edwards may have just been suffering from exhaustion.
The newest
member of the Fulton County Commission has been traveling heavily throughout
the district since he took office.
Edwards has
conducted a number of town meetings and has been an active participant
in discussions over a proposed fifth runway at Hartsfield International
Airport.
Baskin expected
Edwards to attend the Feb. 7 County Commission meeting and start resuming
his normal schedule next week.
