Kedron Elementary awarded grant
The Georgia Department of Education has awarded a $1,500 grant to Kedron Elementary School. The school will use the grant to test proposed technology integration standards that the DOE is considering incorporating into the Quality Core Curriculum for K-12 students. Kedron will test the standards by placing them into lesson plans and documenting each student's level of success in meeting the lessons' QCC content and proposed technology integration standards. The school will critique and revise lesson plans and then submit the 10 most successful ones to the Georgia Learning Online Lesson Plan Builder to be evaluated by a state-level evaluator. Teachers also will complete surveys and participate in a possible on-site video taping session to show integration strategies for the proposed technology integration standards. The grant period is Jan. 22-June 30.
