Graduation times change

Graduation times will be a little different this year.

The Fayette County Board of Education Monday approved a change so that different high schools will have ceremonies at different times.

Some faculty members have to attend graduation at one school, but have children graduating at a different school, said Superintendent Dr. John DeCotis, and other parents have reasons to attend more than one graduation, he added.

The board approved a 6 p.m. time for Starr's Mill and Sandy Creek high schools, and the usual 8 p.m. time for McIntosh and Fayette County.

Graduation for all four schools will be Friday, May 25.
