Fulton budget: $750,000 for SF development The Fulton County Commission gave unanimous approval Wednesday to a $558 million budget that will not call for a tax hike. This year's budget is up 2.7 percent over last year's $540 million budget. A Fulton County spokesman said this is the 10th consecutive year that the property tax rate will not be increased. Nearly $50 million of the general budget's funds this year come from the county's $130 million fund balance left from last year's budget. South Fulton County received two new additions to the budget this year. The Bowden Senior Service Center will receive $2.9 million over two years to provide an adult day care center. South Fulton also will receive $750,000 for economic development. Nearly $250,000 of the money will be used in conjunction with Munich, Germany to help develop a high technology presence in the area. All Fulton County employees also are receiving a 4 percent pay increase this year under the budget, and Grady Health Services received an increase of $2.1 million in its funding.
