Wednesday, January 10, 2001 Legislators to speak at HBA meeting
Three members of of Georgia General Assembly from this area are scheduled to speak at the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia's first meeting of 2001, scheduled for Thursday night, Jan. 18, at the Peachtree Wyndham Conference Center in Peachtree City. Speakers will be Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, minority leader of the Georgia House; Sen. Greg Hecht; and Sen. Mitch Seabaugh. The meeting opens with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program. Florida Rock Industries is the corporate sponsor for the gathering, while Southern Community Bank is serving as an underwriter sponsor this year. Reservations for the meeting should be made by calling the association office at 770-716-7109 by Tuesday, Jan. 16. The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Heard and Meriwether Counties.
