WASA to consider contract to replace three pump stations
By JOHN
MUNFORD At its meeting Wednesday night, Peachtree City's Water and Sewer Authority will likely approve a contract for engineering work to replace three pump stations in town. The authority has already approved a $584,350 construction contract for the pump stations at the following locations: one by Lake Peachtree, one behind the Publix shopping center and one off Stratford Court. The winning bid came from Willow Construction, Inc. which was the lowest bidder and has also performed work for the city before, said WASA General Manager Larry Turner. Construction of the pump stations will take approximately nine months according to estimates. The only other item on WASA's agenda is the election of officers, which occurs annually. WASA's officers include a chairman, vice-chairman and a secretary-treasurer.
