A public hearing for senior citizens 60 and over is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 11, 10-11 a.m. at the Fayette County Commission meeting room.

According to Andy Carden, executive director of Fayette Senior Services, the hearing is required by the Atlanta Regional Commission as part of the annual budgeting process for FSS to identify senior needs.

ARC provides FSS with the conduit for 40 percent of its total funding through state and federal sources. The remainder is covered by the United Way, about $80,000, and Fayette County, about $78,000.

For information, phone FSS 770-461-0813.
