Cold temperatures in store for tonight
Although snow flurries were expected to end last night, the super-cold weather will be sticking around the Fayette County area today, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. During the afternoon there will be sunny skies and highs will be around the mid to upper 30-degree mark, said meteorologist Nate Mayes. The temperature is expected to drop to the 15-20 degree range tonight as a Canadian cold front continues to move in, he added For Saturday, the clouds will come back in and last through Christmas Monday with low temperatures remaining in the mid two upper 20s.
