Amphitheater needs few sponsors for summer concerts

Only two or three new sponsors will be needed for the annual summer concert series at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City.

Amphitheater director Kristi Rapson told the city's development authority at its meeting Monday that the law firm of Webb, Stuckey and Lindsey has agreed to return as the platinum sponsor of the series.

The amphitheater staff has also sent out approximately 50 requests for proposals seeking a company to operate concessions at the concerts. Agnes and Muriel's, which operated concessions this year, wants to come back, Rapson added.

Development Authority member Bob Truitt said the amphitheater is fortunate to have any restaurant operate the concessions since it's hard to make money performing that service.

Plans are also underway for another concert celebrating the Fourth of July, Rapson said.
