Council names three people to board terms By JOHN
MUNFORD
Three Peachtree City volunteer boards will start the new year with one new member each thanks to appointments made by the City Council earlier this month. Steve Bradley was appointed to a five-year term on the Water and Sewer Authority while Douglas Fisher was appointed to a five-year term on the Airport Authority. Council also re-appointed Luther Holt to another four-year term on the Recreation Commission, but Holt's death Dec. 9 created another vacancy. David Ring had been selected by council as an alternate to fill any vacancy, and he will fill Holt's term, confirmed City Information Specialist Betsy Tyler. Wade Williams was approved as an alternate for WASA also. Bradley, who has lived in the city for over three years, works as a director with Delta Air Lines and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He previously worked with Proctor-Gamble and prior to that served in the U.S. Navy. Fisher has lived in Peachtree City for over two years and has been an executive with several freight systems including SurfAir, Inc. as the company's president and chief executive officer. Ring, an eight-year resident of Peachtree City, began his career as assistant director of parks and recreation in Faribault, Minn. He also has an extensive background in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served from 1983 to 1999. Currently, Ring serves as a Peachtree City Little League board member and he previously served four years as the chairman of the Youth Coordinating Council.
