Wednesday, December 13, 2000 Race car, driver at Bullard office next week Steve Dale Motorsports' #83 race car and its driver, American Speed Association (ASA) Rookie of the Year Joey Clanton, are making an appearance here Thursday, Dec. 21, in connection with Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty's "Toys for Tots" program. The car will be in the parking lot of Coldwell Banker Bullard's Fayette County office, located at 1968-A Hwy. 54 West, Fayetteville, just east of the Peachtree City limits, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. that day. Its driver, Clanton, will be on hand from 3-5 p.m. that day to give out candy and autograph cards. Anyone bringing a toy for "Toys for Tots" on that day can register to win a free ride in a stock car at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Jerry Nesbitt, managing broker of Coldwell Banker Bullard's Fayette office, urged local residents to support the "Toys for Tots" campaign by contributing a new, unwrapped toy that day and to stop by to meet Clanton and see the #83 car. Steve Dale Motorsports is a Fayette County-based ASA racing team. Clanton, who began competing in car racing since the age of 16, previously raced in the NASCAR Late Model Stocks and Super Late Models divisions. Receiving a degree from Georgia Tech in 1999, he joined the Steve Dale team this year for the team's first season of competing in the American Speed Association ACDelco Series. Coldwell Banker Bullard offices are serving as Metro South area collection points for the 53rd annual U. S. Marine Corps Reserve "Toys for Tots" campaign for the 19th year. Thursday, Dec. 21, is the deadline for bringing toys (or checks made out to Toys for Tots) to one of the Coldwell Banker Bullard offices for this year's drive.
