Independent living facility in the works
By JOHN
MUNFORD
A concept plan for a new 144-unit independent living facility will be considered by the Peachtree City Planning Commission at its regular meeting Monday night. The plan calls for a 165,000-square-foot building to be constructed at the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Crosstown Drive, according to the project data sheet submitted to the city. The 144 units would consist of one- and two-bedroom plans in a three-story layout on the 10.9 acre site. The building would contain dining and recreational facilities also. The applicant on the project is Prime Communities, LLP of Atlanta. Prime Communities is asking for 115 parking spaces in the area, which will encompass over 190,000 square feet. The proposed plans call for two entrances to the site and a connection to the city's cart path system. The use of adjacent property is listed as residential. It is estimated that the facility will have 35 employees.
