If you're driving by the corner of Bernhard Road and Redwine Road, you'll notice a new church that has just been built.

The Heritage Christian Church is just three years old and has seen its worshipers grow from 75 to 410 persons.

It has gone from meeting in two different schools to building its own facility, where it expects to conduct Christmas services, according to its senior minister, Greg Marksberry.

Besides being busy with construction, three different groups traveled to Mexico City, Cuba and the Ukraine this summer as a part of its mission work.

New mission work within the church consists of a care group, which assists those in divorce recovery and those who are grieving due to the loss of a loved one.

In January, minister Jennifer Dimbath will come on board to direct the children's ministry.

Beginning Jan. 31, a dinner will be served each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. with Bible studies for children and adults from 7 - 8 p.m.

In February a new youth church will be conducted each Sunday evening.

The new address will be 2130 Redwine Road and the new phone number will be 770-716-5768. You can also check out its web site at www.heritagechristian.org.

Beginning Sunday, Jan. 7, new worship hours will be at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday School also will be at those same times.
