Holiday fun in Senoia By JOHN THOMPSON If you want to get into the Christmas spirit this weekend, Senoia might be just the place for you. A weekend of holiday-related activities is set for the historic east Coweta hamlet. Friday, the Senoia Historical Society is staging its annual holiday potluck dinner and Christmas auction. The event starts at 7 p.m. at the Senoia Masonic Lodge on Main Street. Attendees bring a covered dish and an item for the auction. In years past, many delightful antiques and treasures from the closets of Senoia have appeared at the auction and make wonderful Christmas presents. After eating some homemade chow and making an early Christmas purchase, come back to the small town for the annual Light Up Senoia celebration Saturday at 6 p.m. The celebration features holiday music, refreshments and the lighting of Senoia's Christmas tree. The event has turned into one of the city's biggest celebrations and residents turn out in droves to see the lights that adorn the city's historic buildings light up and usher in the holiday season.
