New Kiwanis officers plan work for 2001

Newly installed officers of the Kiwanis club of Peachtree city are already at work on plans for the upcoming year.

Jane Miller has taken over as president, Larry Gray is president-elect, Mick Maguire immediate past president and Anna Serrell is vice president. Also on the roster of officers are secretary Greg Hall, assistant secretary Don Thurnau, treasurer Bob Blackburn and assistant treasurer George Giddings.

Among those plans are the annual pancake breakfast, set for Saturday, Jan. 27, and the Wings Over Dixie air show, planned for September at Falcon Field.

Kiwanis also sponsors a local Boy Scout troop and contributes to the Peachtree City Police Department's DARE program. Key clubs at McIntosh and Starr's Mill high schools also are sponsored by the club.

The club meets Mondays at 7 a.m. in the Hunt Club at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center. For information phone 770-487-7743.
