Peachtree City police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the night deposit area of the Bank of America on Crosstown Road last week.

According to police, a suspect forcibly took money and checks that were in a plastic bag that a Fayetteville man was trying to deposit at the bank. The suspect wore a black ski mask, a grey sweatshirt and dark sweatpants and is described as between 5'7" and 5'10" tall, according to police.

A $1,000 reward is being offered by the department for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

An incident report indicates that the suspect was armed with a gun, but it did not indicate what type of gun. The report said the suspect intimidated the victim and "placed him in fear of immediate serious bodily injury."
