Residents driving through town may have noticed a strange new car patrolling the roads.

The vehicle is the new 2001 Pontiac Aztek, which is being called the most versatile vehicle on the road.

In addition to be a rugged, well performing car, the Aztec also serves as party central for folks who like to tailgate during the fall. The car comes complete with tailgate seats and cupholders that fold down on top of the car's tailgate.

Additionally, buyers can ask for rear speakers to provide radio sound as you munch on your snacks before the big game.

But perhaps the most amazing thing about the Aztec is the flexibility offered. An optional camping package quickly transforms the back of the car into a tent with a fitted air mattress and inflator.

For bikers, Aztec offers a biking package that includes a mounting package for a single bike and a roof rack with a dual-locking attachment that features a quick release.

Hikers can choose the hiking package that allows you to attach backpacks to the front seat along with water resistant covers for the front and rear seats, in case you get a little dirty hiking.

For all its versatile features, the Aztec is still one of the more formidable cars on the road today. A high-horsepower 185 horsepower engine gets you where you want to go in a hurry.

Other standard features include daytime running lamps, fog lamps and halogen-powered headlamps. The Aztek seats five comfortably and also has a six-speaker AM/FM/cassette sound system with an equalizer.

If you want to check out the newest car that will soon be all the rage, make the short trip to Southtowne in Newnan. The sales reps will be glad to let you test drive it.
