Changes suggested for car care center

The Peachtree City Planning Commission has suggested several changes to a proposed concept plan for a new car care center that will be located on Dividend Drive near Paschall Road.

Earl Randall told the commission he is planning to relocate Earl's Quality Car Care to a new series of buildings encompassing 5,500 square feet. The buildings would also include a number of storage units, some of which will be large enough to house vehicles.

The repair portion of the facility will include six bays, with two additional bays for emissions inspections. But planning commissioners suggested that Randall consider aligning the bays so they don't face Dividend Drive.

Randall said that might be difficult but he would look into that possibility. He added that such a change would make it difficult to keep the facility's parking in the back.

The storage units would not be open 24 hours a day, Randall added.
