Top marks for Starr's Mill students

Nineteen Starr's Mill High School students have been named Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college level AP examination.

Only abut 13 percent of the more than 700,000 students who took the AP examinations in May 2000 performed at a sufficiently high level to merit such recognition.

Josh Weddle qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of three or higher on five or more of these exams.

Five students qualified for the AP scholar with honor award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of three or higher on four or more of these exams. There are Benjamin Gregg, Sean Hickey, William Hicks, Matt Watson and Elizabeth Yeouze.

Students who qualified for the AP scholar award by completing three or more AP examinations with grades of three or higher include Scott Anderson, Roger Barker, Erin Farmer, Mark Grace, Mark Hurley, Matthew Keller, Lisa Landis, Charles Leslie, Natalie Minns, Kelly Ozust, Kyle Patten and Chad Troop.
