Corridor to celebrate victory over violence

Community activists in the Fulton Industrial Corridor will sponsor the annual V-Thankful Corridor Celebration to celebrate "victory over violence" Saturday, Nov. 18.

Food booths and entertainment will highlight the celebration, along with volunteer activities and a canned food drive.

Jointly sponsored by the Fulton Industrial Business Association, the National Campaign for Victory Over Violence, Charitable Connections Inc. and Mc'Lonie Networks, the event will run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Wellness and Conference Center, 200 Wendell Court.

Companies and organizations can participate by sponsoring and hosting food booths, collecting canned goods and turkeys for the needy, and entering the corporation to corporation talent show.

As part of the day's activities, participants will be asked to help spruce up the Community Wellness and Conference Center.

The celebration is in honor of National Stop the Violence Day, the Nov. 22 memorial day for President John F. Kennedy.
