No one was injured in a four-car wreck on Ga. Highway 54 West near Huddleston Drive in Peachtree City Saturday afternoon.

The accident was caused by a driver who was following too closely, according to an accident report from the Georgia State Patrol. Francisco Parga-Rodriguez, 43, was charged with following too close and driving with an improper state license, according to the report filed by Cpl. R.E. Parham.

The GSP worked the accident because one of the cars damaged was an unmarked vehicle driven by an on-duty detective for the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.

Det. Nicole F. Smucker's vehicle was stopped in traffic in front of a car driven by Timothy P. McElwaney of Sharpsburg before the accident occurred. Rodriguez's Pontiac Grand Am swerved to avoid hitting McElwaney's car, causing him to hit a truck driven by James K. Simolari of Peachtree City, with the impact driving Rodriguez into McElwaney's car.

McElwaney's car then struck the rear of Smucker's vehicle.
